Bad at Words is a trio that writes catchy jazz-pop tunes that both purists and newcomers can agree on. Members Doug Drewes (bass), Jacob Pleakis (keys), and Kenny Shaw (drums) have been making music together in various groups for over two decades. Bringing polish and expertise to music that is equal parts “yacht rock” and Bill Evans, the trio plans to release their debut full-length album in 2022.
